Catalist Donation to Education Foundation of Sarasota County

The Education Foundation of Sarasota County (EFSC) is the ONLY local non-profit solely dedicated to funding/supporting Sarasota County Schools. Their mission focuses on three primary efforts:

  1. Enhance the Potential of Students

  2. Promote Excellence in Teaching

  3. Inspire Innovation in Education

The Hayes family closed on the sale of their first home and chose to dedicate half of their Catalist Commission Donation to the EFSC. The donation was originally marked at $1,105.00. CATALIST was not the original plan. Broker/Owner, David Crawford, comes from a family of real estate professionals, and at first we were only discussing the idea of opening a real estate brokerage.

The original plan was to open the brokerage in Sarasota, grow it into a successful business, and eventually use the business to support causes that we believe in. The plan always included giving back and being a part of the community, but not the way that it is structured today.
